Follow Indonesian pro surfer, Oney Anwar, on his epic journey from a remote jungle village to his debut on the World Championship Tour. Chasing the Dream tells an inspiring story of Oney Anwar and his relentless pursuit to become Indonesia’s most respected surfer.

Oney hails from a coastal village in rural Sumbawa where his local beach is home to some of Indonesia’s best surf breaks. Encouraged and mentored by a team of international superstars, Oney picks up a surfboard at the age of seven. In 2007, Rip Curl offers Oney the opportunity to move to Australia and train, whilst attending an elite sports school.

Once on the Gold Coast, things really start to roll for Oney as he balances education with his endless desire to make history.
